Hi Anton,

To migrate from a self hosted server to a MoodleCloud site, I would suggest taking backups of your courses and then restoring them into your MoodleCloud site.
Be mindful that you have to select whether to include student data etc when you create the backup. If you don't select it then it won't be in the Backup.

You visit each individual course and click on Settings, then Backup to create the Backup.
You will need to go to  go to "Site Admin/Server Files" and find the automated backup there and download it to your computer.

Once you have signed up for a MoodleCloud site then go to Site Admin / Courses/ Restore Course to upload that file and Restore.

You are unable to restore an entire site as MoodleCloud is designed with an optimal User Experience in mind, so, in order to make it simpler to use, we have disabled some features and options that may be available in a self-hosted Moodle install.

You would need to ensure that your user numbers and file storage size fits within your MoodleCloud Plan limits before importing.

For configuration settings, if a setting has the label "Defined in config.php" next to it, then it is unable to be changed.

Learn more about course backup and restore in the following Moodle documentation:

Course backup - https://docs.moodle.org/en/Course_backup
Course restore - https://docs.moodle.org/en/Course_restore
Import and export FAQ - https://docs.moodle.org/en/Import_and_export_FAQ

You will need to upgrade your site to version 3.10.1 first before you backup your courses.

All the best,
Kelly
