Moodle 3.7.7

I have done the following:

1. Settings > checked box "Is this glossary global?"

2. Settings > Entries > Set "Automatically link glossary entries" to Yes

3. Settings > set "Glossary type" to Main Glossary.

4. Went to Admin > Plugins > Filters > Manage Filters; and set "Glossary auto-linking" to "On"

5. Waited, logged out, logged back in.

Still does not work. Any ideas?

Where are you expecting the autolinks to glossary to appear?

Example of where they are *not* autolinked ...

Global glossary has an entry for 'ls' - a linux command - with a definition.

Title of a page resource has 'The ls command'.   In the title the text 'ls' is not linked.

I was expecting the links to appear in the page content. I rechecked all of my settings.
In the filters, I have "Glossary auto-linking" set to "On" under the "Active?" column. Under the "Apply To" column, I have "Content" selected.

In the glossary settings, under "Common module settings" I have "Availability" set to "Hide from students." I think that only hides the "glossary" link on the front page where I have the activity installed.

Edit:
Just tried resetting the "Availability" and that did it. I guess I misunderstood this setting.
I thought this would be an easier way to hide the front page glossary link. from students.

I have another procedure to hide that link. I will try that next.
- hide glossary link (stealth activity)
    - system administration
    - search for advanced and click the link
    - check "Allow stealth activities"
    - save changes
    - go to glossary link
    - go to edit mode
    - edit link
        - first chose "Hide"
        - then chose "Make Available"
    - glossary will be hidden from students but available to administrator
