I was devastated to receive an email on December 17 saying that our course (https://mds.moodlecloud.com/course/view.php?id=3) has been deleted. We spent about two years developing that course for our international students. The email read that "this is a courtesy email to inform you that your site mds.MoodleCloud.com has been deleted from MoodleCloud." We have students who are expected to come from many different countries to take the course this spring and we cannot possibly replace this material in time. I read that you are able to restore courses within 14 days. I would be so grateful if you could do that. I understand that restoring this course is performed by the technical team, so I will gladly pay the fee for this service immediately. I apologize for my negligence in not being aware of the frequency with which I need to log in. I promise it won't happen again.

Hi Robert,
Sorry to hear you have lost your MoodleCloud site. Under our free site retention policy, if your Moodle for Free site has been inactive for more than 14 days, it is removed in order to maintain a vibrant and active system for all users. We do send a reminder email message before the site is removed.
To get the site back online, we are able to restore your site data but as this is performed by our technical team there is a fee of $100.00 AUD. Also, please note that to comply with our GDPR policies, as you are no longer as a customer, you will need to reply to this email for us to go ahead with the site restore within 14 days of the site deletion date or your site will be deleted from our systems.
Your other option is to recreate your site. You can do this in the MoodleCloud Portal or by completing the signup. Unfortunately, the content of the site has been deleted. To ensure it does not get removed in the future you need to make sure it is accessed regularly or you can choose to upgrade your site to a Starter or Moodle for School plan where the inactive policy does not apply.
I shall send you a PayPal invoice to the registered address and if you do decide to go ahead with the site restore then we will action this restore for you. If you have any further questions, please let me know or visit our FAQ page.
Also, it's worth a gentle reminder that in order to retain your restored site you will need to login every 14 days. With that in mind, we recommend that you upgrade to a Paid Subscription (starting from $80 depending on which Plan you select). With a Paid Subscription there is no regular requirement to log in every 14 days.
You can view Paid Plan options here: https://moodlecloud.com/app/
You can easily upgrade your MoodleCloud site via the MoodleCloud portal.
To upgrade your plan:
Log in to your portal here - MoodleCloud Portal
Click on the Upgrade button to take you to the Change plan section.
Select the plan you require.
Confirm your payment details to complete your purchase.
Your users and disk space quota will be available immediately and all of your content will remain unchanged.
Best Regards,

Re: Restoring course that has just been deleted
Thank you so much, Craig. I am very happy to let you know that Support has already helped me with this issue. (I was desperate to get the course restored and didn't know whether to contact Support or MoodleCloud forum. And, I didn't want the 14 days to lapse.) When my supervisor returns from holiday break, I will strongly encourage her to push for the school to upgrade to a paid subscription. Since I inherited this course fairly recently, I didn't know much about Moodle, but now that I have read more over the weekend, I can tell you that I'm really impressed with your mission and vision. Also, a colleague recently conducted a training session to other instructors to demonstrate how useful Moodle has been to our international students in this course. Again, thank you for your prompt reply. To say that I am relieved would be an understatement.
