Hi,
the LDAP server used for user authentication is the same as we use for our internal portal. Only when we login through moodle, the problem arises with passwords that have special characters. So, it must be something to do with our moodle setup. We have magic_quotes for gpc turned on, magic_quotes for runtime creates havoc (cannot retrieve data from database properly) if turned on, so I left it at off.
I am currently trying to check the moodlelib authentication functions. If there something specific to check for ?
