Any update needs to include a fix in the plugin install. When a plugin fails or does not complete there is no way to remove it or get rid of the install. you cannot get back to the Admin, you cannot log in to site. you are just stuck on a server checks screen. There needs to be a cancel this install or abort this plugin install tab or button. I have been trying to get out of this bad install for 5 hours can't find it. Went to server control panel and deleted files but the install script just put it back with another failed. Moodle 3.10
This is the best advertisement for doing things on a test site first. Personally, I've never had this problem because my test site traps all these things before they happen. Can you reset the server? I don't think there is any way, well not that I have found but IANAD, that this can be fixed programmatically, but also, they don't give me control of the server either, so apart from that, sorry, I can't be of any more help, if at all.
Hi,
Did you delete the plugin's folder completely - not only just the files?
