Hide courses from course overview (for all users)

I'm looking to hide certain courses from the course overview block for all users. I understand that an individual user can choose to hide certain courses from the block, but they must do this manually.

Is there a setting on a course that I can change so it doesn't show that course on the block? I'd still need users that are enrolled to have access to that course, even if it's hidden from the block.

Hi Luke, did you get to do this? I am currently trying to achieve the same thing... hiding some courses from the course overview but still being able to access them through a link

I would also like to know how to enable this feature.
The 'Course Overview' block can become crowded when students are enrolled upon many actual courses and other 'informational' type courses
