All students can't see a newly created assignment

Hi 

I have created a new assignment for a course as an admin and I know teachers can see it but students can't. I think I have incorrectly disabled a user profile setting.  

I've not used assignment before so I'm stuck.

See teacher view and the student view as attached. I have not set the assignment to hidden.

Any advice is most welcome.

have you checked the permissions for the student's role?
