I’ve been setting up hot standby Postgres servers for high availability.
My question is, how are multiple Moodle instances configured to use these servers? There is no documentation anywhere as far as I can see,
And no guide as to what actually happens to the traffic from any Moodle instance and where it gets routed.
I’m using the read-only dB options setting in the config.php and can see that my Postgres databases are all getting select queries, but as for understanding where the Moodle requests go, how the read-only mode is used etc, I’m at a loss.
Would be appreciated if you can shed some light on this!
