Do you have a clone of your production server? If so, install the mergeusers plugin there and try it out. Many times a plugin showing 1 version behind your version will work, but caution if you plan to upgrade to 3.9.x. Test that, of course, on your clone first.

Hi Ken and Peter, thanks for posting this. We upgraded to 3.9 and the vendor disabled the plugin. Do your developers have plans to update the plugin for 3.9-3.10 in the future? smile Thanks!

Saw in another of your postings you are using Moodle Workplace.   The offer of provider (MWP) to do the merge is probably the only way to accomplish since MWP is restrictive about what plugins get installed and/or move foward/upward version wise.

Kinda curious why one would need a merge plugin of own for future merges, but then again, don't use MWP!

Sounds like (?) you are importing courses with users (in progress?) from other moodles?
