I am trying to create a question bank and when I try to add a simple calculated question after I set the variables and click on Generate, I get an error

Exception - syntax error, unexpected '8' (T_LNUMBER)

There is a link to more info, but it just states that there is no more info.

Using Moodle 3.9...

Explore Moodle's docs for the question type that you are trying to use.

If you are trying to use "calculated multi-choice" questions, I have a MoodleMoot presentation about this several years ago that might help.

Ok, you got me, I was forgetting that the answer needed a * sign (no implicit multiplication).
So now I can generate the wildcard values, but even though I set the decimal places to zero, it is still generating decimals.
