We have an asynchronous school so we would like to to have certain users or groups have the marks for all assignments count while others have the marks excluded for empty assignments (current forced default)

Is there a way to set it up so certain users or groups within a course have all assignments included without changing for the entire course??

If you'd like some student to be accountable for all activities, but then drop assignments from other student gradebooks, consider using the "Exclude" option in the gradebook single view: https://docs.moodle.org/39/en/Single_view
