Web Hosts Wont Allow Safe Mode turned Off

Hello

I am a virgin moodle user and have just bought some web host space to run my moodle site, but found that the ones I checked out dont allow safe mode to be turned off for "security reasons".  What problems am I going to encounter because of this?

You and your users won't be able to upload files successfully, which will definitely put a dampener on things.  I would suggest finding one of the many hosts that don't rely on "Safe Mode" for security.  Try looking through the Servers forum for ideas.
