Features for Lessons and Assignments

Hello,

I've received a couple suggestions from a member of faculty regarding assignments and Lessons. With Lessons that have included essay questions, the instructor is wanted to be able to see and grade all of them on the same page, rather than one by one. Does anyone know if this is a feature added into future versions of Lessons? Or if it has been requested already?

The second suggestion is about course dates after restoring a site. Normally the original dates on assignments are retained, so the instructor needs to manually find and update each one. Does anybody know if there is a plugin that can list all the activities and dates in one area to make them easier to find, or even just push the dates on assignments ahead based on the start and end date of the course? Is this possibly a feature in newer versions of Moodle? For reference, we are using Moodle 3.5.

I can't reply about Lessons because I don't use Lessons.

I do understand your "date" suggestion. Realize that some courses are restored into the "next semester" and you want dates to change, however sometimes courses are restored into the current semester (maybe there was a problem, or maybe a course was being migrated to another Moodle) so changing dates doesn't make sense. And what should one do if a due date falls on a holiday? For these reasons, I am not troubled by having to update dates each semester. But I do understand the need that you present.

Okay, there is some experimenting going on with "relative dates." I haven't explored this experimental feature myself, but maybe others have and can comment. Go to Site administration / Development / Experimental Experimental settings, and on the bottom "Enable course relative dates." Someday, report back what you have learned.
