I am trying to decide which activity would be better for a knowledge base area. At the moment I am deciding between Wiki and Forum.
Essentially what I would need is an activity where certain users can create the top level topics/pages and then a second level of users can post things into each of these top level topics/pages. The other important feature is the subscription, so that when something new is posted the relevant users should be notified via email so that they do not constantly have to go in there and keep checking it manually.
Looking at the Wiki, I think it does all of the above except the subscription email part. Looking at the Forum it also allows most of the above except it doesn't allow the same level of collaboration as the Wiki.
My question then is, are there any particular settings that can be used to configure one of the above activities to achieve this type of functionality or is there a better activity or plugin suited to these requirements?
