I have some extra fields that are not captured in Moodle that'll need to generate a school assessment report. Having read on this forum I got to understand it's a bad idea to directly edit or create extra tables in the Moodle database. I have read that I can customize my report using this plugin and that I can connect to an external database using configurable reports. My questions are:
1. Can I connect to an external database using the report and at the same time connect to the Moodle database so that I can generate a single report using both databases?
2. Can I create more tables using this plugin in the Moodle database and it'll not affect the future upgrade?
2. Can this plugin consume an external API?
