Data base corrupted after installation of plugin - Please help!

Hello, I am using Moodle 3.8.3 on Linux-server. I don't have server access itself, so I am using only Moodle installation routines as Admin.

After I tried to install the following plugin

https://moodle.org/plugins/block_calendar_month

I got an error-message on the course page that something (in JavaScript) was missing.

Now, I am always re-directed to the page for updating the plugins (see screenshot-1). The only option I have is to push "Upgrade Moodle Data Base now". However, it results in an error (see screenshot-2).

I have still an admin-page open to install plugins: From where can I download the original Moodle-Calendar to replace the corrupted version? "block_calendar_month" Could that help?

How can I fix this database problem?

This plugin, block_calendar_month, replaces a core plugin that's part of Moodle, but it looks like it doesn't work with Moodle beyond 2.3.

The good news is that your database should be fine as Moodle is refusing to install it.

To fix it try these steps:

  1. Download the Moodle 3.8 .zip file.
  2. Delete the blocks/calendar_month subfolder on the server.
  3. Open the downloaded moodle-latest-38.zip and copy the blocks/calendar_month subfolder from the zip file into the blocks folder on the server.
  4. Refresh the page and the error should no longer appear.

I've added an issue to the Tracker about this plugin: MDLSITE-6255.
