Recently I get an enquiry on moodle publishing using tomcat, usually i had experience hosing moodle on PHP apache server,
if possible can you please give more details about moodle running on tomcat server and its benefit that normal appache server
Should be able to run php on Tomcat.
Tomcat is designed to run
Java so wouldn't be the first choice for an install. However if they are already running Tomcat and don't have Aoache etc then it might be possible.
Once you get off the main track of Moodle installation you may find you are on your own
