No reason at all other than I’m more used to Owncloud and I already have it working. Nextcloud is great and even has more tools and features than owncloud. Even the /e/ foundation relies on Nextcloud for its mobile OS cloud services!
I’ll take a look to that link you sent me. It looks really interesting. I’m not using this specific Pi in a school, by the way. Here in Catalonia, Spain, we have a ready to go Moodle server that we use for teaching teachers called Odissea (odissea.xtec.cat) and every school can ask the Education Department to activate a prebuilt Moodle specifically for their student and under their domain.
My Moodle is just for me and some teacher folks to test stuff.
By the way, I haven’t found the solution for my problem but I made some advances. It looks like my MariaDB is using the wrong engine by default and the first step I should take is to set InnoDB as the Moodle database’s engine.
I’ll keep telling you the advances.
