Moodle: 3.7.5

I'm doing some tests activating the Google Drive repository in my Moodle to try to save disk space.

I have successfully linked my Google Drive and can upload files to submissions from the Drive.

The problem I see is that Moodle always makes a copy of the file that it loads from Drive. Although in the repository options I have chosen on Supported files "External (Only links stored in Moodle)".

I was hoping that Moodle would only link the file from the Drive.

There is no way to get this?

The same problem occurs with next version of Moodle.

Have you received any suggestion on the subject?

I think that its the Google side that does not allow to share the file in "Linked mode". I suppose that the "Linked mode" is available if you have purchased GSuite.
