does anyone have any experience of installing the moodle database using one of Azure's managed databases?
I'm using the bitnami moodle helm chart (8.1.5 https://hub.helm.sh/charts/bitnami/moodle/8.1.5) which currently has moodle v3.9.2.
I initially tried using mariadb, but couldn't set the innodb_large_prefix variable that was being reported as a requirement in the logs.
So i reverted to trying using mysql v5.6 (azure allows up to v8)
Moodle 3.9.1 (Build: 20200713) command line installation program
== Environment ==
!! database mariadb (18.104.22.168) !!
[System] version 10.2.29 is required and you are running 22.214.171.124 -
So after reading another thread it seems that mariadb is a hard requirement. (being an experienced mssql user if i could use this i would prefer).
Does anyone know if i can use azure mariadb? Also noticed in the logs when trying using mariadb that it was warning that i was using Antelope rather than barracuda (think file format) .
Additionally i can see some other people have errors with the installation needing 10.2.29 rather than 10.2.26, Azure offers 10.2 and 10.3. Hopefully moodle is requesting a minimum version rather than an exact version?
