I have been searching but I may not be using the correct terms.
I am using chat session log for on-line attendance while students are not at school. I was hoping for a hands-off way for me to track attendance - employability skill - punching the time clock so to speak. Chat opens each morning at 7 AM and students are to log in and at least give some greeting, to show they have logged in for the morning. I'd like them to use chat to help each other but they seem to get on for a minute and guess log out.
I guess to my question, is there no log created if there is no one else in the chat?
example, I log-on, go to chat in the morning and say hello, but no one else is in chat. It seems to not log my being there, because it is not a session maybe?
