I've transferred my moodle-installation from one server to another recently (same webhoster though), and that is what happens now:
When I load MOODLE for the first time (regardless which browser I'm using), everything works fine. After about 5 minutes, the pages won't load anymore, the browser just times out (well, sometimes I get a roughly formatted page after waiting for 3 Minutes).
Now the strange part (at least for me): When I delete the temporary internet files of my browser, everything works fine again for another 5 minutes, then the mess starts all over.
Things I've done so far to find the error:
- installed a new moodle > same error
- spoke to the technician of the webhoster > said, the two servers had the same configuration
- CHMODded pages to 2777 and later to 777 > no change
- found out that the new server had a php-"hardening-patch" installed > shouted at the technician; does anyone know if this could be the problem?
Has anyone here had the same problem once? I would be very very very grateful for any hints, for I use my moodle quite frequently with my students.
