I am using Moodle version 3.5.1.
I wish to write and import quizzes written in Moodle XML, and I am looking for comprehensive documentation on the Moodle XML file format. I could not find this in MoodleDocs (The page XML FAQ has a link for more thorough documentation by QueDoc which is broken.)
Specifically, I want to create calculated multiple choice questions in Moodle XML. When I export a question bank, the dataset is included in the file, but I would like to only include wildcard ranges, distributions, etc. (I believe this is possible using <dataset_definition>...</dataset_definition> as I found in:

but there is no documentation in this link.)
I would be grateful for any help you could give on this subject.
