Hi

Could somebody please confirm if core Moodle 3.9 currently supports LTI1.3 Core and Advantage both as Tool Consumer and Provider? My search hasn't been able to find a definitive answer.

Thanks

I would like to know this as well, I am running 3.7 and it looks like it supports LTI 1.3 as a consumer but not as a provider. I am looking for provider functionality either as plugin or as core.

Hi Kim
FYI just posted the following comment in Moodle Trackerhttps://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-40761

Hi all

My latest testing on MoodleCloud (currently running v3.9.2) reveals that this issue still persists in core i.e. MoodleCloud default staff roles such "Non-editing teacher"("Role Short Name" = "teacher") and "Teacher" ("Role Short Name" = editingteacher), in both cases is still sending in the Consumer LTI payload "roles" = "Instructor". Therefore, no granular staff roles are being sent by the Tool Consumer, thus preventing meaningful role assignment in the Tool Provider. Is this correct?

Thanks, Karsten

I am actually stuck one step behind this one. REferring to the documentation on https://docs.moodle.org/39/en/Publish_as_LTI_tool, the options available, I think are only to publish as LTI 1 or LTI 2 but no option to publish as 1.3? I could consider upgrading to 3.9 if the option is there

Hi Karsten

Moodle currently does not support LTI 1.3 as a provider. It's in the pipeline as we know it's important, so as soon as we find the time we will be moving forward with this.

Here is the epic that will be used for this work:
