Missing some content from a course.  Want to go back and look at backups.  But Im not sure which to use.  I have some .mbz oand some .gz I can see via cPanel.  I suspect these are FULL backups.  If I restore a full will it show me contents and allow me some selection options if it contains everything?  Thanks all.

Moodle course backups have .mbz extensions ... and if you left things at default the filenames have the course id and short name in them as well as date/time stamped in filename.

The .gz's are ???? maybe site backups?

Dunno what cpanel uses .. thought it used zips.

For missing course content ... try restoring the .mbz to a test course first.  If you see resource missing, restore again to existing course, step through, each restore screen,  and then select only the missing content to restore.
