Welcome to the Moodle App - the initial questions screen

Hello,

I have not been able to find an answer to this..

When first starting the Moodle Desktop app (which I believe behaves the same as the mobile Moodle app) I am asked to choose between these two options:

"I'm a learner"

"I'm an educator"

I can skip this decision (by clicking on the top orange bar / "Ignore this" link) and move on to login, but I would like to know the purpose behind the questions, and if my answering in either way determines or affects my use of the app (on this system), or whether any extra data is stored anywhere, turns on some additional tracking etc. ?

Thanks,

Przemek

Hi,

the app doesn't store any data or behaves any different based on your answer. Those initials questions where added to guide users a bit before starting using the app, because some people just want to test the app even if they don't have a Moodle site. So we added a bit of guidance for those users too so they can create a MoodleCloud site.

Cheers,
Dani
