I am looking for a way to auto launch an external tool activity. Let me explain !
We are using Padlet
We want to render a Padlet wall in a Book activity and we don't want to have students to post anonymously nor do we want to have them log into the Padlet site with separate credentials, so LTI is the way to go.
We don't just want to provide a link to the Padlet wall in the course, we would prefer to have the wall render 'in context' of the page. This can be achieved with a Padlet embed code but this doesn't include an LTI launch so student activity is Anonymous.. So the second option would be to create an External Tool activity as 'hidden but available' then embed the URL to the activity in the Book. However we need a filter to launch the LTI activity in context. Has anybody found a way to launch an LTI external activity as part of the page load ?
