Not seeing images I want to embed

Not seeing images I want to embed

Hi all,

this might be a typical newbie question, however, I do hope that you are willing to help me.

I am running a XAMPP installation (Moodle 1.5.3+ (2005060230)) on XP-SP2.

When I try to put some pictures in my lessons, I get to see the insert image dialog screen; however - the file browser section is empty, although I have created a folder containing the pictures (C:\moodle\moodledata\2\Images)

The course Id = 2 so according to me this should be correct. What am I overlooking?

Thanks for your answer

Regards

p.s. should you want to come to Curacao to teach Moodle, you're welcome salidar

One possibility is if you created the folder outside of Moodle then Moodle may not have permission to browse.  I use Xampp locally but I can't figure out how to edit CHMOD permissions other than to ftp to my own box.
When I have a course without images or a backup yet, therefore no folder, I use the Moodle upload tool to upload any small image and force Moodle to build my file structure.
