this has been a real eye-opener for me.
So far I've at least learnt that it should be possible for me to see PHP errors even though I'm using a shared hosting site...There's a "PHP configuration" option that allows this and it's supposed to create a txt file.
I've got some study ahead to be able to solve this sort of problem properly but it's very helpful to see what the steps should be.

After re-installing the whole site and starting again I just have one file in the same place boost/css/all_1.css. It's still the same size 614 Kb . It's stopped being added to, and the cron job ends with "
Ran 0 adhoc tasks found"
