Is LTI integration possible with MoodleCloud? Full list of plugins?

Hello,

Our organization just signed up for a MoodleCloud site to test its feasibility for our program and determine if we need a self-hosted version of Moodle. I am wondering if it is possible to do LTI integration with MoodleCloud? Specifically, we are hoping to integrate with Proctorio or other LTI-supported proctoring service for our quizzes.

Self-hosted Moodle supports LTI Integration. I have not been to find anything about MoodleCloud + LTI integration in the MoodleCloud FAQ. I've also contacted Moodle using the contact form to no avail.

If you have experience using LTI integration with your MoodleCloud site and/or integrating your MoodleCloud site with a proctoring service, I'd love to hear from you. Alternatively, if you know where to find a full list of MoodleCloud plugins, can you please send it along?

Hi Allie,

LTI should work with MoodleCloud just as well as it does on the self-hosted version, but we are unfortunately not able to teach each plugin as part of MoodleCloud, and no such list has been compiled so far. Please let us know how these plugins work for you, it might pave the way for more official support in the future.

Please note that while MoodleCloud is due to be upgraded to version 3.9 soon, it's still on 3.8 at this time. Some more recent LTI-related improvements will become available after the upgrade is completed.

Hi Mathieu, Thank you for your reply! After four messages, I received a reply from support@moodle a few days ago telling me that LTI does not work with MoodleCloud. Subsequently, a vendor I am working with (not Proctorio) was able to integrate their tool with MoodleCloud via LTI integration. As your reply suggests, it seems there's a lot of fuzziness in this area---it may/may not work, but in either case Moodle can't help. I also haven't found any Moodle Partners that offer support just for MoodleCloud, you have allow them to build your Moodle site and/or host with them. I hope there's a more robust support option from Moodle at least for MoodleCloud in the future.
