Course copy fails, backup fails

Course copy fails, backup fails

Hi

I am running Moodle 3.9

I tried to use the copy course function as follows:

  1. Site Administration
  2. Manage courses and categories
  3. Click on category
  4. For the specific course, click on Copy course
  5. The process threw an error
  6. I went back to the list of courses
  7. There was a new course called Course Copy Progress, which I deleted
  8. I then discovered that general moodle backups weren't working either, so I had the server tech look at file ownerships and permissions

Now, when I go back to try and copy the course, it says "This course has copies in progress. View in progress copies."

When I click the link, I see the previous copy attempts (which are never going to complete, because I deleted the associated destination course).

So, how do I delete the in-progress copies?

Thanks

Brendon

Update....

I created a new Virtual Machine.
I installed a fresh Moodle on this.
Did a backup successfully.

Then migrated my live Moodle to this VM.
Backups still fail in the same way.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Brendon

My backups were failing because I had asynchronous backups enabled.

Course copying is still failing.

The copy course function still doesn't work, but I am able to restore the course and enter a new course name to create a copy.

We have the same error. The copy of the course doesn't work due to non-functional asynchronous backup.
