Moodle Formulas Question Type "Follow on" marking

Hi there,

Just wondering, in the Moodle Formulas question type, is it possible to access a student's answer to a part of a question and use it to generate a correct answer for the next question?

I would like to offer "follow on" marks if a student gets Part A of a question incorrect, and uses that answer to correctly answer Part B (correct application of next step).

Many thanks!

Cheers,

Jon

Hello Jon,

As far as I know, you cannot use a student's response in one part to validate his/her response in another part. However, you can do it in the same part. Since each part can have several answers (the maximum number of answers in the same part is not defined, but it is probably sufficient in most cases), it is possible to have answers which depend on the previous ones. You will find two examples here ↗.
