Dear Moodlers,

I would like to know if there is a Multi-Factor authentication plugin that allows me to specify which users must pass the multi-factor authentication ?

I already saw this plugin https://moodle.org/plugins/tool_mfa but the problem is that for all users and I can't specify which user must pass the multi-factor authentication.

The purpose behind my question is to protect the users who have access on a category level.

depends how you group your users - take a look at the "non-admin" factor in the tool_mfa plugin - you might also be able to write a new factor that gets added to give "free points" to the groups that you don't want to use MFA.
