Sorry for the late reply, have you found the issue already?
The presets work, but since the theme and markup changes with the Moodle versions, it's possible they need to be updated to match 3.8/3.9.
I recommend using a local instance of Moodle (running on your own computer) to develop and test these presets. The download link in the header offers some pre-built virtual machines images and other ways to have a local instance.
