Yes I am a teacher as well as a learner to use moodle.
I am now attending in one moodle class which is support by GIZ (one German Organization).
In that class, we can get the web hosting to edit our moodle page.
So, I can able to administer able to add plugins during our learning period.
I haven't had a look at the Quiz and Assignment features.
As your suggestion, I will try to look at the Quiz and Assignment features.
Yes, not an unreasonable place to start, but I would also add that you might want to look at how you can present information to your Learners first. While these things may not seem very challenging, they are actually quite important. If your presentations are ..mmm.... boring, then no matter how good your assignments and quizzes might be, you won't be able to inspire your users. Good luck and enjoy the challenges Moodle will present, you will improve your own skills incredibly.

Hello Yan Lin. In the MoodleMootGlobal next week July 6 - 10 we will be doing one hour sessions on for example "Getting started teaching with Moodle" and "Engaging learners with Moodle" and "Teaching trends and Moodle" which might be helpful for you. The sessions will be recorded and available online after the conference so watch this space. Also look at our Mount Orange School demo site which has examples of courses and students/teachers.
