Create courses based on a template via core_course_create_courses

Hi, we are trying to add our courses for next schoolyear via the core_course_create_courses.

How can we create a new course based on an existing course/template?

Via CSV upload it is possible via the field templatecourse, but in the JSON there doesn't seem to be a similar field.

We have thousands of courses that we need to import in august to prepare for the start of the new schoolyear on the first of september. The use of CSV files is impractical, especially when courses are added/cancelled/changed in the first weeks of the schoolyear.
