I already did what you're suggesting, while waiting for a better solution. But it's not an optimal way to assign a video to another course because, as you perfectly said, if the original recording is deleted, the link will desappear.
That's why I'm still looking for a way to change the id of this recording directly in the database ... But it's not obvious !
