Content bank empty after course deletion

Good day.

I am playing with 3.9. After deleting a course that had H5P content, I noticed that the content seems to be deleted after clicking the 'global' content bank . This confused me a little bit as I was assuming that the content bank is not dependent on the course. Is this by design?

Hi Dirk! Yes, it is. There is a different content bank for each context. So if you create a content bank in a course, even if you can reuse it in some other places in Moodle, the content is linked to the course and deleted when the course is deleted. That's the expected behavior.
