LTI 1.3 and older versions of Moodle

LTI 1.3 and older versions of Moodle

One of our content providers is upgrading to LTI 1.3, I have read that this was implemented in Moodle version 3.7.2. We are currently using an older version of Moodle as are our clients, does this mean LTI 1.3 won't work or is it backwards compatible?

Our current Moodle version and the versions our clients are using are listed below:

3.3.1

3.6

2.7.20

Kate, LTI is entirely new launch and authentication model, while it may share some logic but it is not backward compatible.

you can read LTI 1.3 documentation here

This is great, thanks. We are currently using LTI 1.1 so I guess that means if we want to use 1.3 we need to upgrade to Moodle version 3.7.2.

Ah yes, 3.7.x is, if release notes for 3.7 shows integration of LTI 1.3, I myself is using 2.7 so unsure about which moodle has support for which version of LTI 1.3 sad
