Fedora Core 4

Hello Everyone,

If you have seen my last post you know I have just installed FC4 on my server.

My servers specs are, putting it nicely "RUBBISH" and the xserver is a waste of ram and cpu power. Does anyone know how to stop it from starting at boot up. I would uninstall it and reinstall it when I need it but its a bit of a hassel.

There is no option for xserver in Services.

Help
TIA,
Martin

Edit the "/etc/inittab" file. Look for the like "id:5:initdefault:". Replace the 5 with a 3. That will make it so your machine doesn't start X on boot.
