poodll plugin - playback before post

I'm trying out the poodll plugin, and I'm finding two things: 1. there is a noticeable lag between the audio and the video and 2. I can record, but there is a playback function where you should be able to see it before you decide to attach the recording, but that doesn't work. I'm wondering if there is some simple setting on this that I need to change for this to work properly. Any guidance? I'm using Moodle 3.8.3.

Hi Eric
Do you mean the video and the audio are out of sync? This has come up recently elsewhere. How long are your recordings? And which of the Poodll plugins are you using ... and which version?

About playback, well if it does not playback that it quite unusual. What does the player look like in that state? Can you post a screenshot?

recordings are 5 seconds or so, just to test.

I see this screen, and if I hit the play button, nothing happens. I pull the scrub bar across, and it looks like there is no recording. I can either record again, or attach. Once I attach, then I can see the recording (and typically, there is a little out of sync between the audio and the video).

I have poodll filter 3.1.29(Build 2020041700). this is the only poodll plugin I have installed. Moodle 3.8.3.

I see the problem at once. This is not Poodll. This is Moodle's native RecordRTC. To see (and try) Poodll on the Atto toolbar visit this page:
https://demo.poodll.com/mod/forum/post.php?forum=22

The Poodll filter is needed by the classic Poodll plugins, but by itself does not add any changes to the Atto toolbar. For that purpose you should install either of these Atto plugins.
https://moodle.org/plugins/atto_poodll
https://moodle.org/plugins/atto_cloudpoodll

Make sure that after installing you add "poodll" or "cloudpoodll" to the csv list of icons at atto toolbar settings at:
Site administration -> plugins -> text editors -> atto ->atto toolbar settings
