Thank you! To get it the way I want, I have to click "Student must receive a grade", then "Require passing grade", then "Or all available attempts completed", then un-check "Student must receive a grade." This grays out "Require passing grade" and just leaves "Or all available attempts completed" checked.

4 clicks to get one completion setting? I'm unclear as to why "all available attempts" is not a stand-alone completion option...

I guess I shouldn't assume things. I had assumed I couldn't uncheck the other boxes and still have "available attempts" checked.
