The 14-19 change person from my local council who is responsible for elearning was expelling the virtues of SAM learning to me.
Can I integrate SAM learning materials with my moodle?
SAM learning: http://www.samlearning.com
My moodle: http://www.sbecvle.co.uk
Thanks
Stephen
Looks like it should work fine as a linked resource, at least the free sample it was just a simple self-marked exam. (http://www.samlearning.com/examrevision/alevel/biology/exercise/aba0211.html)
Now if they would give you the content, you could load it into lesson as essays or with Joseph Rezeau's(sp?) new (in 1.6) regular expression engine, maybe even automatically graded.

Hello
In our school we have provided a link to Samlearning from within our moodle, but have added in the automatically filling in the centreid
http://www.samlearning.com/Login/Login?centreid=ourid
What I really want to do is pass the username, and possibly even password (these are fixed) is there anywhere in moodle to upload and store user defined fields and then pass them as a parameter
thanks
Andrew

I was speaking at a Moodle-esque day at Varndean recently and was asked the same sort of thing...
The issue with SAM Learning is that the activities aren't uniquely addressed with specific URIs - they are called by javascripts from within pages once you are logged in, which makes them difficult / impossible to access directly.
As far as passing parameters goes, it would be possible to change certain fields in someone's profile (id number, etc., some of the "less used" ones) and then pass these to any web site by using the "Parameters" option when creating a resource...
This is where the benefit of Shibboleth / Single Sign On really becomes apparent...
