I'm almost done setting up a new course in Moodle (Version 3.7.5) and I have some "Quiz" assignments that students will complete. Some of these quizzes won't automatically be graded by Moodle, as they exclusively contain essay questions, which will be graded later by an instructor. In a previous Moodle course that used Version 3.0.10, we had similar activities (they used Cloze short answer fields instead of the Essay field), and we used the "Overall Feedback" field to help move students forward in the course by putting a link to the next section in that Overall Feedback field, as described in this thread: https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=337801. This setup worked just fine for this previous course.
In the settings for the new, essay-based quiz I'm working on, there is only one Overall feedback field, so there are no other grade boundaries aside from the default 100% and 0% ones. A link guiding students to the next activity is in that overall feedback. And in review options, the settings allow for Overall feedback to be displayed ("Overall feedback" is checked for the "Immediately after the attempt" section of "Review options"). The settings are seemingly identical to the ones I've used previously, but for whatever reason, I can't get that "Overall Feedback" field to display in this new course once the quiz is submitted. Any ideas as to how to get the Overall feedback field to display after all the essay questions are filled out and the quiz is submitted?
