We've been teaching totally online since our school's main campus closed in March. Some students did not submit their writings into the moodle and are not responding to emails. How can I submit their writings? They created them and edited them but did not submit them. UGH! I do not know the exact version of Moodle we have but have been using it for a year or two. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Is it feasible for an admin to log in as each student and submit the assignment?
Select the Assignment activity.
View all submissions
Navigate to a student that needs to be submitted
Select the Edit dropdown list
Select the Edit Submission option
Upload the file.
1. Save your document file with your full name and course name.
2. Select the [name of the assignment link for the course] below.
3. Select the Add submission button.
6. Return to the course page by selecting the top hyperlink (Include a screen capture of the course's main link)
Since I am changing a student's document from a Google Doc into a Word Doc, would I need to change settings? The moodle will not allow me to upload the work in lieu of the student the way it is now. I'm sorry to keep troubling you, but I thank you for your help.
Get your admin to turn on "login in as" for instructors.
Once that's done, you go to each student's profile, click on "login as" and become the student.
Next, you go to where you want to upload the student's work (Assignment #Umpteen)
Behave like a student and upload the assignment.
The annoying part is that you have to log out each time you want to login as a different student.
The really annoying part is getting the admin to give you the right to login as. After that, you're golden, but bored.
Thanks so much, Ben! That's exactly what I need!
