I have what I think might be an issue with flat file enrollment but I am not sure. Today I set up a very large flat file enrollment. The details of the file are:
Rows = 47635
Courses = 1205
Looking at the flat file enrollment details, I see that the 1205 courses (instances) appear correctly but the number of enrollments is:
Enrolments = 46499
There were a few teachers that had already enrolled (manually) students in their courses but not 47635-46499= 1136
Looking at the logs (from within Moodle) for the flat file enrollment script, I see that, for some reason, the script failed several times (5 times...each time after roughly 1 min and 40 seconds) before succeeding on the 6th attempt. I did some random checking of enrollments and see that students at the beginning and end of the file (first rows and final rows) are all enrolled properly...so now I'm worried that some random errors occurred in the middle (between 1 and 46 thousand or so) and have no idea how to go about finding them.
Thanks in advance for any advice provided.
P.S. I am on Moodle 3.7.2+
P.P.S. I bumped the Apache2 timeout up to 400 seconds and php.ini up to 400 seconds as well. Thought both of these were overkill but...maybe not?
One more post script - I just checked the db log and there are no errors today. 🤔
