We're using moodle 3.8.2 in our school, with about 1200 students and almost 150 courses (all subjects from every year since pre school, to 12th grade).
With students submitting their assignments, we're rapidly running out of space. We already have a 100GB disk size for moodle data but with backups and assignment submissions we've already used half of that in just 3 weeks. We're worried that this won't be enough space to get to the end of the school year, in about 45 days.
We've tried searching everywhere for how can we delete user submitted assignments, preferably just the files, to save space, but with no luck until now. We've found the "course size" report, and we can see witch are the courses and users eating up most space, but to solve the problem, we need to be abl to delete files, or it will continue to eat up all the space.
We already set to maintain only one backup for each course, to save as much space as we can and we don't allow files bigger than 5MB to be uploaded.
Is there any way we can clean up submitted assignment files?
Do you recommend any other solution we can use to save disk usage?
