Multiple quizzes for different groups w/n a class

I'm using v3.5 and wondering the best approach to limit cheating?  A) Create multiple exams and assign randomly; B) Create a unique exam for student "1-3" and a separate exam for student "4-6".  How would I set up the parameters within Moodle.  Open to other suggestions as well.  Thanks!

A common option is: Create one quiz, where each question is selected from a list of 5 similar questions (for whichever value of 5 you want). https://docs.moodle.org/38/en/Effective_quiz_practices#Robust_testing_with_random_variants
