Course backups - include logs or not

Course backups - include logs or not

I am busy setting up automated backups on a Moodle 3.5 site. In the General Backup Defaults section in the Site Admin block there is the Include logs (backup | backup_general_logs) optiom. What are the implications of NOT including logs in my course backups?

If I exclude logs in my backups what will be missing from a course after I do a course restore?

The https://docs.moodle.org/38/en/Course_backup doc doesn't really answer this question.

After a course restore I do still want to be able to look in the course logs to see who has done what. I depend on those course logs a lot for "audits".

I never tested that, but I guess that the "Include logs" backup option doesn't affects the creation of new logs in the restored course.
