Hi Gordon I was just checking on some of the new features (at least new to me) in the HotPot module and there is something I still don't understand:
Enable clck reporting (typo)
A separate record is stored in the database each time a "hint", "clue" or "check" button is clicked. This allows the teacher to see a very detailed report showing the state of the quiz at each click. However, it may also mean that the size of the database grows very quickly, because several "click" records may be stored for each attempt at a quiz.
What is meant by "the state of the quiz at each click"?
If I understand this correctly, when the student clicks the 'hint' button, s/he is penalized and the points that are taken off are stored in the database. That means that whatever number of points are taken off, they will be computed in the final report you get for the HotPot exercises. If I have this option set to 'no', would that mean that no points are taken off? I don't think that this is what it means, but I don't understand what exactly it is that will not be stored in the database if the 'enable click option' is not set to YES.
